The Brand:
Lakmedura was established in 1980 by the former chairman Upali Premadasa and current managing director, H.G Ariyaratne with the help of Japanese tour guide lecturers. Originally located at Rotunda Gardens, under a rented premises, Lakmedura began their operations which specialized in gems/jewellery and handicrafts. The company later expanded, in 1987, to their own premises at 113 Dharmapala Mawatha, where Lakmedura continues to offer a variety of island essentials ranging from freshly plucked Ceylon Tea to vibrant gems sourced from all around Sri Lanka.
